Still Moving Forward!
Hello beautiful people! Things have been moving along behind the scenes and I wanted to give you all an update.
So, over the past few months I’ve had the honor to be apart of the Motor city match program here in Detroit. This program helps business owners in the city fulfill their vision from start to finish. I’m proud to say that we were awarded the “Make a Plan” award which gave us $1,000 in technical support and a 6 week class to help us create a sound business plan taught at TechTown through LifeLine (they were amazing!).
Now, through this class I have decided that we can have a bigger impact if we focus on helping our schools, churches, community groups, youth teams and the similar with fundraising using our t-shirts customized for the group.
I’m really excited about this shift because we will be able to raise thousands of dollars for our local schools and groups, feature local artist, inspire and empower our city even more! This wouldn’t be possible if you didn’t believe! You made this happen and I’m so grateful. We will make a difference.
Sincerely thank you,
Kellen

We’re Still Here Detroit!
Hey everyone,
I had to take some time out to remind everyone that Detroit Reborn is still out here working toward our goal of opening a community storefront in the city of Detroit. I have been spending countless hours studying and learning more about what can make this even more of a success.
I’ve also been scouting out buildings and speaking with owners to find something that will get us started with phase 1 of our rollout. I’m dedicated to the mission of empowering Detroiters to create something for ourselves using the help from each other. If you want to help, purchase a shirt under the store tab above or donate to our gofundme campaign here Thank you!

New Site and Logo
So I know anyone who has been keeping up with our progress has noticed that we just recently upgraded our site. With that change I saw it only fitting to have a professional logo to fit the new site look. So tada! Here it is and I love it!
The best part is we basically got it done for free so that’s awesome!
Our work is moving forward and we will find and secure a building this month, so we can start being an additional resource in the community to help rebuild our great city!

Detroit Reborn T-Shirt Campaign
Detroit, MI-Kellen never saw it coming. “After almost two years of this I realized that my goal to really help people wasn’t being met the way I wanted, so I decided to make a change…fast forward to today and we have Detroit Reborn.”
“We are so glad to work on this campaign and to give back to the community. As a volunteer with Detroit Reborn, I am glad to give myself away to meet the needs of the community. It is such a pleasure getting involved on this project,” Jane Wilhem.
Detroit Reborn, a local T-shirt company based in Detroit, Michigan founded with a commitment to giving back to the community will be running a campaign to sell 1000 shirts by 4/24 to open a community empowerment storefront in northwest Detroit.
“As part of our campaign, A portion of all sales go to helping issues in Detroit like homelessness, education, domestic violence by supporting our obtaining a community storefront where we will host empowerment workshops, as well as be home to a clothing and food pantry on Detroit’s westside.”
This investment in communities will fuel a tangible and compelling response to the call for service, extending volunteerism and volunteer leader capacity to help solve some of our nation’s most critical issues. Kellen cited a range of community needs that an infusion of trained, managed volunteers could help address, including education, the environment and providing aid to economically-distressed families.
“Our storefront will be hosting free and low cost community empowerment workshops on small business startup, domestic violence and health education. There is going to be an on-site food and cloth pantry where visitors can take or leave things.”
According to Kellen, Founder of Detroit Reborn, “Often, the very best happiness lies in giving, and reaching-out to communities who need support and empowerment.”
